The Sierra Mountains are absolutely wonderful...but I'm glad they are behind us...we're in Nevada! Last night we rode into Kirkwood, CA as it was getting dark. We had hot tea and read through Pslam 20 at a rustic pub in the middle of bear country. Then we rode 1/2 mile further under the starry-starry night to a gorged spillway (Caples Lake) where we camped. We camped at 7,500 feet so there was snow all around us. We finished our climb to Carson Pass this morning and coasted down the hill into Nevada. With the wind at our back we'll put in a long day of riding, praying and discipleship. God bless you all.

Kirkwood, CA to Fallon, NV
